Adjunct Faculty Lab Practical Training

3:00 - 4:00 PM

PRE-REQUISITE: The workshop requires approximately 1.5-2 hours of asynchronous pre-work, including watching two 30 minute videos and scoring the students in the videos utilizing lab practical rubrics that are provided. These activities must be completed prior to the workshop.

• Prior to the training date, participants need to access the PTA Program Community in eLearn and do the following:
  • Go to Content, Faculty Lab Practical Training Resources
  • Complete the pre-work listed in both of the following folders:
    • Orthopedic Principles Lab Practical Training
    • Functional Mobility Lab Practical Training
  • *Don’t forget to bring copies of your completed lab practical grading rubrics with you to the meeting*.

This workshop will occur virtually via Zoom. The workshop is intended to familiarize new PTA Program Adjunct Faculty (and any other PTA full-time or adjunct faculty who require a refresher) with the procedures involved in PTA Program Lab Practicals. This workshop will cover the general processes and assessment procedures utilized with Spring Semester Lab Practicals (Orthopedics and Functional Mobility). Participants will have the opportunity to view mock lab practicals, practice scoring of students utilizing the rubrics for these practicals, and acquire guidance and feedback from full-time faculty.
