This presentation will involve a film about housing discrimination featuring Norman Lear and Nikole Hannah-Jones. Norman Milton Lear is an American television writer and producer who produced such 1970s sitcoms as All in the Family, Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time, The Jeffersons, Good Times, and Maude. Nikole Hannah-Jones is an American investigative journalist known for her coverage of civil rights in the United States. In April 2015, she became a staff writer for The New York Times. After the film, John Zimmerman, VP of the Miami Valley Fair Housing Center will lead a discussion about the film and present 4 scenarios related to COVID-19 housing discrimination. John Zimmerman, Miami Valley Fair Housing will share the latest of community resources from the county on the pandemic.
