  • Those registered will receive an invitation to join the Learning Management System (September 22)
  • Registrants will accept the invitation and set up a profile (September 25-27)
  • Registrants will be enrolled in the pre-work online (self-paced) that must be completed prior to the session date (September 29)
  • Once pre-work is 69% complete, participants will receive the Zoom link details to attend online training. Pre-work is due by 9:00 AM on October 12.
  • After the Instructor Led class conducted via Zoom, participants will complete the post-work in the LMS to access their certification.

You must use a device with a webcam and microphone and both must work and be turned on. For most of the training we will ask you to mute yourself, but there are activities where you will need to speak and be heard. Webcams must be on during the entire training - so we know you are present, but also so we can use our mental health first aid skills if we see someone experiencing distress.

Participants that complete the full course will secure a three-year certification.

This training has been approved for CEUs for Ohio Counselors, Social Workers, Chemical Dependency Counselors, and Prevention. Provide your license number to the facilitator to receive credit.

In order to ethically provide certification through the National Council for Mental Well-being, we use a platform that generates attendance time reports. We must have a total time in attendance for each participant and we are ethically bound to report the accumulated amount of time a participant attended, therefore we cannot issue certification to:

  • Individuals sharing a monitor, computer, and/or login
  • Individuals joining by audio phone only
  • Individuals missing more than 30 minutes

This session will not be recorded.
