Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Learn the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to appropriate care.

This course is valued at $170. Thanks to the Human Services Levy and the citizens of Montgomery County, learners may attend at no charge.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
You must use a device with a webcam and microphone and both must work and be turned on. For most of the training we will ask you to mute yourself, but there are activities where you will need to speak and be heard. Webcams must be on during the entire training - so we know you are present, but also so we can use our mental health first aid skills if we see someone experiencing distress.
CERTIFICATIONS & CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Participants that complete the full course will secure a three-year certification.
This training has been approved for CEUs for Ohio Counselors, Social Workers, Chemical Dependency Counselors, and Prevention. Provide your license number to the facilitator to receive credit.
In order to ethically provide certification through the National Council for Mental Well-being, we use a platform that generates attendance time reports.
