O22A - Book Discussion: White Fragility

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

The Center for Teaching and Learning is offering you an opportunity to be part of the Change Agents group on campus. Currently, it includes faculty, staff and administration. The group was formed in 2010, after an inspiring and reflective book read by Frances Kendall, “Understanding White Privilege.” Since then, the group has made a commitment to promote and develop steps and approaches to create a supportive, diverse and inclusive environment at the College. Our goal is to recommend institutional changes in support of faculty, staff and students.

This term, we are offering a book read to current Change Agents AND those of you who wish to become part of the group. The first book, White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism" is a 2018 non-fiction book written by Robin DiAngelo.

The CTL will have a limited supply of books available for your convenience. We look forward to energetic discussion!
