Safe Space Training seeks to create an inclusive and welcoming campus community by equipping staff and faculty to identify and recognize signs of prejudice against LGBTQIA+ persons, use words and actions that demonstrate respect for all persons, and lead the way in fostering respectful interactions among individuals and groups on the Sinclair campus and in the larger community. Participants will learn to:

  1. Use empirical data to build an LGBTQIA+ advocacy toolkit
  2. Identify and use appropriate vocabulary related to the LGBTQIA+ communities
  3. Promote an LGBTQIA+ inclusive culture
